In Carroll County there are eleven residential camps that the Carroll County General Health District inspects annually. The inspections are conducted to ensure camps are in compliance with the rules established. These rules were established to provide standards for camps to follow that would provide protection to the public from injury, minimize the potential for disease transmission, and provide a safe and healthy recreational environment.
Resident camps are any tents, vehicles, buildings or other structures that may be pertinent to its use, any part of which may be occupied by any person for the purpose of supervised outdoor or indoor activities and on which provisions are made for overnight occupancy.
