According to the Ohio Department of Health in 2023, there were 4,452 unintentional drug overdose deaths in Ohio. In 2023, fentanyl was involved in 78% of unintentional drug overdose deaths in Ohio.

Naloxone/Narcan®

Save a Life. 

  • Carroll County General Health District offers Narcan and Fentanyl Test Strips in several locations.
  • Narcan is a lifesaving medication that can help reverse the effects of an overdose on opioids.
  • Harm Reduction boxes are located at CCGHD in the upper level breezeway, Carrollton Village Safety Centers (135 3rd St. SW Carrollton, OH) and at Southeast Health Care (611 High St. NW Carrollton, OH). The Harm Reduction Boxes are a contactless option for picking up free Project DAWN Narcan Kits and community resources.
