Carroll County General Health District was Awarded National Accreditation through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) on March 9th, 2022!
It is with great pleasure to inform the community that the Carroll County General Health District (CCGHD) has been awarded national accreditation status through the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB). Accreditation through PHAB Demonstrates Carroll County General Health District’s Commitment to Excellence in Serving the Community. CCGHD is Ohio’s 58th health department to become accredited by PHAB and is one of eleven other health districts in Ohio’s Appalachian area to become accredited.
What is Public Health Department Accreditation?
- The measurement of health department performance against a set of nationally recognized, practice-focused and evidenced-based standards.
- The issuance of recognition of achievement of accreditation within a specified time frame by a nationally recognized entity.
- The continual development, revision, and distribution of public health standards.
